PDF-Tools 4.0167 is a program to create PDF document files. It does not need you to own Adobe Acrobat or Distiller. This stand alone tool can create PDF files on its own. You can include images already saved on your disk, or acquire them from your scanner or webcam. Or you can extract images from other PDF files. You can import text from any source. When you install PDF-Tools, you will be offered to download and install the new PDF-XChange Viewer PRO, a program to view PDF files. So, you won't even to have Adobe Reader installed to view them. You can add bookmarks to your PDF document, split or merge PDF files, edit the contents of every page, compress font and streams, extract images from other PDF files and add hyperlinks, among many other tasks. PDF-Tools will also allow you to convert PDF files to other document formats, such as RTF, DOC or TXT. The program is also able to send PDF files by email. There is a function, Overlay PDF, that will allow you to add several documents into just one PDF document.
